Luca Babini is a New Yorker, environmentalist and an advocate. Most of his street art is meant to carry a message about the environment and various social causes. Babini, also has a successful career as a fashion photographer, TV commercial director, and filmmaker.
For the past 10 years he has collaborated with UNICEF in Italy, Africa, and Lebanon, helping to market their programs. He has run a Digital Communications Workshop for teen-agers in Sierra Leone and was one of the first to document the Syrian refugee crises into Lebanon. He is an environmentalist and was a member of the crew of the Plastiki expedition. He is the founder of the cult magazine Citizen Brooklyn. Since April 2016 he has begun working as a street artist wheat pasting his environmentally themed art on the walls of different cities under the pseudonym Acool55.
